Anup Kumar, known as Captain Cool celebrates his 35th birthday today. Anup Kumar is said to be one of the greatest Kabaddi players in the world.
Anup is a master tactician and smart player. When it comes to captaincy, he never loses his cool with any player on the team. He stays calm irrespective of the situation.

1) Anup Kumar was born on 20th November 1983 in the village of Palra, Haryana.
2) He started playing Kabaddi in his school time where CRPF Kabaddi Team Coach Amar Singh Yadav saw his talent. He joined CRPF as a constable. Due to his hard work and talent, he got selected in the Delhi team. He was later selected for the national camp in 2005.
3) 2006 South Asian Games was the first International Kabaddi Tournament of Anup Kumar in which the Indian Team won Gold. He was the part of Indian National Kabaddi team that won Gold medals at Asian Games in 2010 and 2014. After roping him as the captain of Indian team, India won 2016 South Asian Games and 2016 Kabaddi World Cup.
4) Anup Kumar is the most successful captain in PKL history. He captained U Mumba from season 1 to 5. Under his captaincy, U Mumba was champion of PKL season 2. They were the runners-up in season 1 & 3. In ongoing PKL he is the captain of Jaipur Pink Panthers.
5) Anup Kumar was the recipient of ‘Most Valuable Player’ award in inaugural PKL season in 2014 where he scored was the highest scorer with 169 points. He is the only player to have captained a side in three consecutive Pro Kabaddi finals (Season 1, Season 2 and Season 3).
6) In 2012 Anup Kumar bestowed with Arjuna Award from Government of India for his immense contribution to Kabaddi.
7) Anup Kumar is currently serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police in Haryana.
8) In National Kabaddi Championships Anup represents his home state Haryana.
9) Anup Kumar is said to be the ‘Bonus Ka Badshah’ for his perfect execution of crucial and Bonus point in the game. He is a perfect example of execution of toe touches.
