Shrikant Jadhav: The Maharashtrian Wonder-boy
Shrikant Jadhav celebrates his 23rd birthday today. He was born on 17th September 1995 and hails from Dahigavane, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.
He gave his best performance in Pro Kabaddi League season 5 last year where he claimed 98 points from 19 matches played for Mumba in the last edition of the league. Shrikant was U Mumba’s ‘go-to-man’ for do-or-die raids.
Shrikant decided to play Kabaddi when he saw Former Kabaddi Player Pankaj Shirsat playing and Shrikant became his fan. Shrikant is a left raider. He was brought by U Mumba for the 5th season of PKL. He managed to get 86 raid points and 12 tackle points from 19 matches in season 5. He scored two super 10’s and two super raids in the season.
Before switching to U Mumba in the season 5, he was part of the Jaipur Pink Panthers in season 1 and 2 where he was deprived of chances. In season 3 and 4, he played for the Bengal Warriors.
In season 3, he got 10 raid points from 5 matches and 7 raid points in 5 matches. Due to an injury in the season 3 he could give his best on the field. But season 5 changed his career as he was one of the best raiders of U Mumba in that season.
Shrikant will be seen raiding for UP Yoddha in the upcoming season 6. He got a bid of Rs. 37 Lakh. He represents Railways at national levels and is currently serving with the Central Railways.
