Selection trials to take place today at Sinnar-Nashik for the 66th Senior Group Championships

66th Senior Group State Men’s and Women’s Championships and selection trials will kick-off from today in Aadava Phata, Sinnar, Nashik. The championship is recognized by Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association. It is organized by Nashik District Kabaddi Association and Sahyadri Yuva Manch. The tournament will be held from today 31st October to 4th November.

There will be five days of Kabaddi action for the Kabaddi fans. 25 Men’s teams and 22 Women’s teams will take part in this tournament. The tournament will be inaugurated today evening. After 33 years selection trails are going to held in Nashik.

All the preparations have been done by the Nashik District Kabaddi Association and Sahyadri Yuva Manch. A huge gallery has been set up for Kabaddi fans to watch the matches. Its capacity is 10,000 people.

Along with Kabaddi matches and thrill, there are also organized some entertainment program. On 1st November ‘Chala Hawa Yeu Dya’ fame, Bhau Kadam and Kushal Badrike will make an appearance. On next day 2nd November, local artists will perform.

Today 6 matches will be played on the occasion of an inauguration. 4 matches will be of Men’s and the 2 will be of Women’s. In men’s category, hosts Nashik will be up against Ratnagiri and defending champions Pune will take on Beed. In Women’s category hosts Nashik and Parbhani will face each other. After this Palghar will be challenged by Beed.
