Pankaj Mohite: Puneri Paltan’s Trump Card for PKL 8
Vivo Pro Kabaddi League has given platform to many young players. Out of them some became part of Indian national Kabaddi team. After a leap of two years the league is scheduled from 22nd December in Bengaluru. Since the covid pandemic is not over yet, all the matches will be played at Bengaluru only without fans presence.
Pankaj Mohite who hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra marked his Pro Kabaddi debut in season 7. He was very impressive player in his very first Pro Kabaddi. Pankaj ended up snatching more raid points than Nitin Tomar who was their primary raider. He had a spectacular season with Puneri Paltan.
In the 16 matches played by him, Pankaj has 110 offense points to his name. He became Paltan’s go-to raider in the crucial moments like super tackle and do or die situations. His raiding average was 6.87 raid points per match and scored 3 super 10s.
Due to this performance he was retained by the team for PKL 8. In this upcoming season Pankaj will have two raiding partners. One of PKL’s most successful raider Rahul Chaudhari and Captain Nitin Tomar will be by his side to take care of the raiding department.
Puneri Paltan raiding department looks lethal with Pankaj, Rahul and Nitin. We may get to see more of Pankaj’s game as he will be third raider to them. Pankaj’s role will be very crucial as far as Paltan’s offense in concerned. For that we will have to wait for PKL 8.
