Indian Men’s Team Coach Edachery Bhaskaran Will Receive Dronacharya Award

Every year the Government of India presents awards to the athletes & coaches for their contribution & achievements in various Sporting events. These awards are given annually to the players & coaches for their achievements.

Dronacharya Award is awarded annually by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It is given to the coaches for their outstanding coaching performance in sports & games on national & international level.

Yesterday (20th December), the ministry announced list of winners of Dronacharya Award 2023. Indian Men’s Team Coach Edachery Bhaskaran has won Dronacharya Award (Regular Category) for outstanding coaches.

He was appointed as a coach of Indian men’s team. Under his guidance Indian team has won Gold Medal of Asian Indoor Games 2003, Asian Games 2010, Guangzhou.

He also guided Indian Women’s Team to Gold Medal at Asian Games 2014, Incheon. In 2023 he was the coach of Indian Men’s team which won Gold Medal at Asian Kabaddi Championship & Asian Games 2022, Hangzhou.

The award ceremony will held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Delhi. President of India, Draupadi Murmu Ji will give award to Edachery Bhaskaran & other winners on 9th January 2024.
