“Padma Shri” & “Arjuna Awardee” Ajay Thakur is a gem of Indian kabaddi, Ajay has won gold medals for India at multiple international events including World Cup & Asian Games.
Ajay has been spectacular with his raiding skills and captaincy over the past years, inspiring the young generation to adapt the game of kabaddi.
Leaving impact at the international level Ajay has been a well-known name in PRO KABADDI LEAGUE also. Ajay made his PKL debut for Bengaluru Bulls in PKL 1 and has been part of 3 PKL franchises so far.

Ajay stands 4th in the list of top raid points scorer in the history of PKL.
Ajay captained Tamil Thalaivas from PKL 5 to PKL 7 but he wasn’t much impressive with captaincy as the team failed to perform as a unit in 3 seasons. Ajay was pretty impressive in PKL 5 & PKL 6 with his raiding scoring more than 450 raid points in 2 seasons but PKL 7 was a season to forget for Ajay as he only managed to score 58 raid points. Ajay was released by Tamil Thalaivas before PKL 8.
Ajay will be seen in a new role in PKL 8 as he will be the senior most raider in the Delhi squad, his presence will boost the confidence of young guns. The experience of national & international matches he carries will help Delhi to clinch their maiden PKL title in season 8.
Although, Delhi have announced Joginder Narwal as their captain for PKL 8, Ajay will be playing the role of mentor along with “Mighty” Manjeet Chhillar.
