Amid PKL 9 Auction Buzz, Ram Mehar Singh & BC Ramesh Join New Teams
Vivo Pro Kabaddi League, India’s second most popular sports league was back in December 2021. After two years of gap due to Covid pandemic, the league took place.
132 league matches & 5 matches i.e. a total of 137 matches were played in this season. Dabang Delhi K.C. won their maiden title on 25th February 2022.
According to a report by sports website, season 9 auction might happen on 29th July 2022. All franchisees can retain upto 6 players only. They can submit the retain player’s list till 12th July.
Ram Mehar Singh has coached Patna Pirates team from season 5 to 8. Gujarat Giants team has appointed as their coach for upcoming PKL season 9.
Under the coaching of Ram Mehar Singh, Patna Pirates clinched the title in 5th Season. The team was runner-up in PKL eighth edition.
Before that, Bengal Warriors coach BC Ramesh has joined Puneri Paltan team for PKL 9. He will replace former Indian team skipper Anup Kumar.
BC Ramesh was the assistant coach of Bengaluru Bulls when they lifted the trophy in PKL 6. Then he went to Bengal Warriors & the team won the trophy.
He was the coach of Puneri Paltan in season 5.
