Bangalore Rhinos defeats Haryana Heros on the 5th day of IIPKL, Pune
A game ‘kabaddi’ which was earlier renowned in villages and remote areas of India has gripped its popularity in all over the world in a short period of span. Giving its instance of popularity, Bangalore Rhinos defeated Haryana Heros during Indo International Premier Kabaddi League (IIPKL) going on at Shivaji Chatrapati Stadium, here on Friday.
Match was won by Bangalore Rhinos with 47 points against the points of 41 points of Haryana Heros. Eagerness in the audience has been seen before the matches as myriad of people have gathered their seats in the stadium. Viewers were shouting like anything as players were showcasing their strength by clinching the points from opponent team.
Toss was won by Haryana Heros and captain of the team touched the ground and thanked almighty for shower blessings of good start.
The first match had created buzz in the people as players were so energetic and spark was shown during the match.
Bangalore Rhinos has taken the lead in the start but sheer dedication and focus in the game by Haryana Heros players have lead them towards the parallel score of 11-11 in the first quarter.
The score at the half time was 20 points of Haryana Heros and 19 points of Bangalore Rhinos.
Coaches of different teams have taken time outs in between the match so that they can infuse more techniques and boost the morale of the players. The scores was going parallel during the match.
The second match which was the 10th match of the league that was played between Pune Pride and Pondicherry Predators.
The eight teams participating in the league are Banglore Rhinos, Chennai Challengers, Diler Delhi, Telugu Bulls, Mumbai Che Raje, Pune Pride, Haryana Heros and Pondy Predators. The man of the match was awarded with cash prize of Rs 25000 by the promotors and organisers of IIPKL.
Veteran Kabaddi Player and Promoter of IIPKL Dr Prasad Babu articulated that people are appreciating this effort of kabaddi league and these types of leagues would be conducted in the future, with the motive to promote this game all around the world.

The league is being telecasted live across the globe on DSport , DD Sports and MTV along with series of regional channels and on digital platforms.
The winning team will get prize money of Rs 1.25 crores, first runner up will get Rs 75 lakh, Rs 50 lakh as third prize and Rs 25 lakh as fourth prize. He also added that IIPKL is very happy to share the maximum money to the franchises and the players and this is for the first time that the players are also the stake holders.
