Bangladesh, Kenya are through semi-finals of Bangabandhu Cup 2022

Bangabandhu Cup is an International Kabaddi Tournament organised by Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation in Bangladesh. The second season of this tournament has commenced from 16th March.

National Kabaddi Stadium & Shaheed Noor Hossain National Volleyball Stadium is the venue. Kabaddi matches have been started from 19th March after opening ceremony was held.

Along with host country & defending champion Bangladesh, countries such as Nepal, Kenya, Srilanka, England, Iraq, Indonesia & Malaysia are participating in this tournament.

On yesterday (22nd March) in the first match, Kenya thrashed Nepal 64-19. Their player Victor Obiero was the star in the win.

Balbool Hasan F.’s heroics helped Iraq to defeat Indonesia 67-19. Malaysia defeated England 37-33 where Mohan gave match winning performance.

The group stage matches have been concluded. Bangladesh, Srilanka, Kenya & Iraq are the four semi-finalist teams. England, Malaysia, Indonesia & Nepal are out of the competition.

Today (23rd March) semi-finals matches will be played at Banglabandhu Cup. The winning teams will play final match & losing team’s journey will came to an end.

1) Kenya 64 – 19 Nepal

2) Iraq 67 – 19 Indonesia

3) Malaysia 37 – 33 England
