Can Amit Hooda shine for Jaipur this season?

Vivo Pro Kabaddi League is all set to commence from 22nd December. Bengaluru is the only host city for all the matches of season 8. Players were auctioned in the month of August. While this season is looking one of the toughest seasons of PKL all the teams are training hard for the upcoming season.

Right corner defender Amit Hooda made his PKL debut with Patna Pirates in PKL 2. Though Patna was champion in the third PKL edition, Amit was not able to contribute in it. Next season he moved to Jaipur Pink Panthers where he was the second best defender with 51 tackle points.

After two consecutive seasons with Tamil Thalaivas, Amit returned to Jaipur Pink Panthers in season 7. His tackle points from season 2 to 7 are 21, 11, 51, 61, 49, and 44 respectively. After season 5 his two seasons were not so good with numbers.

The ankle hold specialist has grabbed 237 tackle points in 88 games. His average is 2.48 points per match and has a total of 12 high 5s to his name. The numbers are not so impressive, still Jaipur Pink Panthers have shown faith in him by retaining him for PKL 8.

This retention is a new chance for Amit Hooda as he must perform well for his team. His combination with left corner Sandeep Dhull will be crucial for Jaipur. Amit will be looking to prove this faith right and not let down his team in the upcoming PKL season.
