Day 1 Results: Maharashtra Inter-District Youth Championship

The Mumbai Suburban Kabaddi Association is going to organize Maharashtra Inter-District Youth Championship (Men’s). It will go on the floors from 1st July. Shahaji Raje Krida Sankul, Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai, Maharashtra will be the venue of this tournament.

A total of 12 teams will participate in this competition. Ahmednagar, Beed, Kolhapur, Mumbai City, Mumbai Suburban, Nandurbar, Nashik, Palghar, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sangli will fight for the trophy.

On 30th June, the exhibition match for women’s was played between Krantijyot Mahila Pratishthan & Sandipani Vidya Niketan. Krantijyot Mahila Pratishthan defeated Sandipani Vidya Niketan 23-22 in a golden raid.

Yesterday (1st July) the tournament was inaugurated. In first match Mumbai City crushed Palghar 73-29. Mumbai City Captain Shardul Patil picked up 25 raid points. Ratnagiri defeated Mumbai Suburban 31-28 in second match. Rathagiri’s Atharva Dhumal scored 8 tackle points.

In third match, Nashik beat Raigad 33-32. Nashik’s Ishwar Pathade notched up 8 raid points. Nandurbar crushed Beed 30-28. Nandurbar’s Asim Shaikh picked up 1 tackle & 14 raid points.
