Deepak Niwas Hooda on the verge of record
Vivo Pro Kabaddi League will commence in Bengaluru from 22nd December 2021. Players were auctioned in the month of August for the season. The eighth edition is all set to witness record breaking performances. The most successful all-rounder of Pro Kabaddi League history, Deepak Niwas Hooda will represent Jaipur Pink Panthers once again. He has a golden opportunity to write his name in PKL history books.
Deepak Hooda is 44 raid points away to score 900 raid points in his PKL career. Currently he is third highest raid point scorer behind Pardeep Narwal and Rahul Chaudhari. He has scored 856 raid points in 123 matches with 31 super 10s. If Deepak earns 13 tackle points he will enter the list of players with 100 tackle points. He has 87 tackle points in 123 matches. Deepak also requires 57 points to be part of 1000 points club. Currently he has a total of 943 points to his name in which there are 856 raid 87 tackle points.
Deepak did not perform very well during season 7 leading Jaipur Pink Panthers to release him. He did perform very well in the 68th Senior Nationals though and thus attracting attention of various team just before the auction. While the bid for him was 55 Lakhs, Jaipur made a smart move by using FBM to retain him with them. The team has recently roped in Sanjeev Baliyan as their head coach. It will be interesting to see if Deepak will be assigned captain duties again this season or he will play just a player.
