Exclusive Interview Feat Dabang Delhi KC Player – Mohit Deswal

Dabang Delhi KC has a young raider named Gaurav Chhillar in their team for PKL 12. He has done well whenever given a chance. Team Khel Kabaddi had an exclusive conversation with Gaurav. He gave his insights on his career, Delhi team, upcoming matches & many more.

Q: Basically where you belong from? At what age did you start playing the sport of Kabaddi?

A: I live in the Haryana state. It has been almost 12-13 years since I started playing Kabaddi.

Q: When did you decide to take Kabaddi as a profession?

A: It was never pre planned. But we used to play Kabaddi on district level, state level. Then Kabaddi got professional due to Pro Kabaddi League. That is where I got selected & took it as a profession.

Q: How were you got selected for Pro Kabaddi League?

A: I was picked up through trials of New Young Player (NYP) program in Pro Kabaddi League.

Q: What was the reaction of you family & friends when they got to know about your selection in Pro Kabaddi League?

A: When I told everyone about it my family is very happy about it.

Q: Can you tell how the atmosphere in Delhi team is?

A: We all live together for almost three months. So it has been like a family to me.

Q: Team has Fazel Atrachali, an experienced player, Ashu Malik as a captain & Joginder Narwal as a coach. How’s your experience with them?

A: They help youngsters like us, treats us younger brother. It helps us to learn more about the game.

Q: What is the diet & practice routine?

A: We do our gym session in the morning, then take protein at the morning, then we have our breakfast. After lunch we take some rest. Then we practice on the mat & have dinner at the night.

Q: Do you think you will get a chance in starting seven?

A: It depends on the coach & match situation.

Q: Which is your favourite skill?

A: Running hand touch.

Q: Who is your favourite Raider?

A: Ashu Malik & Pawan Kumar Sehrawat.

Q: Who is your favourite defender?

A: Sunil Kumar.
