Gujarat Fortunegiants Team Analysis For Pro Kabaddi Season 6
Gujarat Fortunegiants was runner-up in the fifth edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. Being runner-up in their very first season was an achievement for the team. Mr. Gautam Adani is the owner of the team and Manpreet Singh is the coach of the team.
Gujarat Fortunegiants Team retained Sachin, Sunil Kumar, and Mahendra Ganesh Rajput before the auctions. However, they did not retain Fazel or Abozar who starred for them which was shocking for Kabaddi fans. Last year’s runners-up had more to lose than gain in the auction. But they made some good purchases like Ajay Kumar, K Prapanjan and also regained Parvesh Bhainswal who impressed the fans with his performance.
20 players are signed by the Gujarat Fortunegiants for the sixth season of PKL in which 2 are overseas players.

Raiders
This season 9 players will be seen raiding for the Fortungiants. 173 points from 24 matches in the first season – was a dream debut for Sachin. This is why 18-year old Sachin was retained by Gujarat.
Mahendra Rajput is another raider retained by the team. This tall man from Maharashtra has brought in points whenever his team was in crucial situations.
Ajay Kumar with 89 points from 22 matches and K Prapanjan with 124 points from 22 matches in the 4th season of PKL are also in the raiding department of Gujarat.
Other than this South Korean Star Dong Geon Lee, Shubham Ashok Palkar, Yashwant Bishnoi, Lalit Chaudhary, and Dharmender will be seen raiding for Gujarat Fortunegiants in PKL season 6.
Altogether Gujarat’s raiding attack seems to be balanced with all youngsters in it.
Defenders
8 defenders will be part of Fortunegiants defense. Right cover Sunil Kumar has been retained by the team credit to his amazing performance with scoring 58 points from 24 matches.
Gujarat also got successful in bringing back Parvesh Bhainswal who played left cover so well for them in the previous season.
Amit, C Kalai Arasan, Sachin Vittala, Ruturaj Koravi, Amit Sharma and Vikram Kandola, these youngsters will be defending Gujarat this season.
Gujarat defense who was known for his attacking game looks a little bit weak this season. Other than Parvesh Bhainswal and Sunil Kumar who plays left and right covers respectively there are no experienced and reliable corners.
All-Rounders
Hadi Oshtorak, Rohit Gulia, and Anil are 3 all-rounders in the team. Hadi Oshtorak has shown his all-round performance whenever he gets an opportunity. He is one of the best Iranian players.
Rohit Gulia is also there in all-rounders list. He has shown some spark in last season for Gujarat team and is one of the emerging players of the league. Anil will be the third all-rounder for the franchise.
Gujarat Fortunegiants were delivered a great show last season. Raiders list is very good. But defense looks weak without experienced and prominent corners. This lack of experience might cost them.
