Indian Women’s Team Coach Kavitha Selvaraj Got Dhyan Chand Award For Lifetime Achievement

Every year the Government of India presents awards to the athletes & coaches for their contribution & achievements in various Sporting events. These awards are given annually to the players & coaches for their achievements.

Dhyan Chand Award for lifetime achievement is awarded annually by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It is given to the coaches for their outstanding performance in sports & games on national & international level.

Yesterday (9th January), this award ceremony was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Delhi. President of India, Draupadi Murmu Ji awarded the players & coaches.

Women’s Team Coach Kavitha Selvaraj has won Dhyan Chand Award (Lifetime Category) for outstanding achievement.As a player she has won the Gold Medal in Asian Games 2010, Guangzhou.

President Droupadi Murmu confers Dhyan Chand Award (Lifetime), 2023 on Ms Kavitha Selvaraj for her achievements in Kabaddi. She has won:

She was appointed as a coach of Indian women’s team. She guided Indian Women’s Team to clinch Gold Medal of Asian Games 2022, Hangzhou.
