Indian Women’s Team Reclaimed The Gold Medal At 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022
The Asian Games were inaugurated on 23rd September. Kabaddi matches were scheduled from 2nd to 7th October. All the matches took place at Xiaoshan Guali Sports Centre Hangzhou, China.
On 7th October on the fifth day in Women’s category, Indian women’s team defeated Chinese Taipei 26-25 in an interesting battle. India won the Gold medal.
They reclaimed Gold medal after settling for Silver at 2018 Asian Games. They had won Gold at 2010 & 2014 Asian Games since their category was included in Asian Games.

Before that Chinese Taipei had thrashed defending Gold medalist Iran comfortably. In the one sided battle, India had won the match against Nepal. Iran & Nepal got bronze medal here.
