Kabaddi fans witness something that is never seen before

Mumbai witnessed the state level Kabaddi tournament just a few days back. Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association and Mumbai City Kabaddi Association approved tournament was organized by Bandya Maruti Seva Mandal.

Due to certain unavoidable circumstances, the actual venue of the tournament had to be changed at the eleventh hour. Two mud grounds and a massive gallery to host the spectators and a grand stage were all erected for the tournament.

The tournament that took place from 11th-14th April 2019 witnessed something that had never been seen on a Kabaddi field. In the half time, players were provided with energy drinks that caught everyone’s attention. Organizers had sponsors for drinks at the tournament which was quite a surprise for all the players as well as spectators. It was good to see local and state level tournaments being sponsored by various brands.

Team Shivshankar clinched the winner’s trophy after defeating Vijay club in the final game of the tournament. Shivshankar’s Ganesh Jadhav was awarded the player of the tournament and was handed over an Air Conditioner.
