Invitational Kabaddi Tournament to be held on the occasion of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s birthday
Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association and Pune District Kabaddi Association have granted permission for the tournament
Kabaddi tournaments were canceled for the last several days due to Corona. After the men’s senior national kabaddi tournament held in Ayodhya in April, all the kabaddi competitions were either postponed or canceled. Now, after a gap of almost two and a half months, Kabaddi is making a comeback in Pune, Maharashtra. The occasion is the birthday of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
On the occasion of Ajit Pawar’s birthday on 22nd July, a state level invitation kabaddi tournament has been organized by Baner Balewadi Nationalist Congress Party in Pune. This tournament will be held from 22nd to 25th July at Shri Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex at Balewadi. The tournament is being organized with the approval of Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association and Pune District Kabaddi Association. The tournament will feature both men’s and women’s groups.

The prize money will be the same for both men’s and women’s groups. There will be a prize of Rs. 2,00,000 for the winner, Rs. 1,50,000 for the first runner up and Rs. 1,00,000 for the two second runner ups. There is also a prize for the best player, best raid and the best tackle. Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association’s executive member Baburao Chandere and Sameer Baburao Chandere are the invitees for this competition.
