Kashiling Adake – Maharashtrian Kashi Missile

Kashiling Adake celebrates his 26th birthday today. He was born on 18th December 1992 in Kasegaon, Sangli district, Maharashtra.

He started playing Kabaddi in his school days. Later on, he joined Kabaddi clubs in his village. Then he was selected in Sports Authority of India (SAI), not in his first but second attempt.

Kashiling was selected for Mahindra’s Kabaddi team where his dazzling performance helped him to make entry into the national squad. And because of his raiding heroics, Dabang Delhi brought him into their team in 2014 PKL. He was also pursued by the Railways but rejected it in favor of Bharat Petroleum.

He gave his best performance in Pro Kabaddi League season 2 where he claimed 114 points from 14 matches played for his team Dabang Delhi K.C. and for that he was the recipient of the ‘Best Raider of Season 2’ award.

In the match against Telugu Titans, he scored most 24 raid points which was a record at that point of time. Though his team could not win that match and had to satisfy with a tie 45-45.

Kashiling Adake is one of the most consistent players of Pro Kabaddi League since its inception. He has 602 points from 87 matches. Out of them, 553 are raid points and 49 are tackle points. He has 23 Super Raids and 15 Super 10’s to his name.

Kashiling led Dabang Delhi K.C’s raid points tally in Seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4 and for U Mumba in Season 5. Kashiling is currently playing for Bengaluru Bulls in ongoing PKL 6 where he has picked up 59 raid points from 15 matches.

Frong jump, running hand touches and escapes are Kashiling’s mostly used raiding skills. Kashiling Adake was part of the Indian Team that won Gold Medal at South Asian Games in 2016. Fans have given him a nickname ‘Kashi Missile’.
