Maharashtra boys team crowned as a champion of 30th Sub Junior National Kabaddi Championship

Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) recognized and Bihar Kabaddi Association organized 30th Sub Junior National Kabaddi Championship in Patliputra Sports Complex, Patna, Bihar from 21st January to 24th January 2019. Yesterday Maharashtra won the title in boy’s section whereas SAI team became the champion of girl’s section.

The final match took place between the two strongest teams i.e. Maharashtra and Haryana. With the help of one all-out on Maharashtra Haryana was in the lead 18-15 at the halftime. But then Maharashtra started making comeback in the game. They got Haryana team all-out.

Before the last raid of the game, the score was equal to 36-36. Maharashtra’s Piyush Patil went for the last raid and returned with one point. Hence Maharashtra won the title as they beat Haryana 37-36. Along with Piyush Deepak, Azad, Amar Singh, Pravin, Shabir were good for them.

In the girl’s section SAI team clinched the title as they crushed Delhi 59-22. SAI team beat Bihar 60-26 and Delhi won over Tamilnadu 24-22 to make it into the finals.
