Maharashtra teams began their Junior Nationals campaign with a win

Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) recognized and Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India West Bengal State Unit has organized 45th Junior National Kabaddi Championship.

It is being commenced at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium Kolkata, West Bengal. More than 40 teams of boys and girls team from the country have participated in the Championship.

Yesterday (16th February) Maharashtra boys team thrashed Jharkhand 58-16. They led the first half 33-07. In the second half, the team went for attacking game. From Maharashtra Saurabh Patil, Shubham Shelke, Pankaj Mohite in offence and Aslam Inamdar, Vaibhav Garje in defence were phenomenal.

Talking about girl’s section, Maharashtra girls team outperformed Kerala 39-15. 17-06 was the half time score in favor of Maharashtra. Pratiksha Tandel, Sonali Helvi’s raids and Sakshi Rahate, Kajal Khaire, Teja Sapkal’s tackles made an easy win for Maharashtra.
