Mahendra Rajput gets a piece of good news amidst Corona
Many kabaddi tournaments are currently being cancelled due to corona. However, kabaddi players in government jobs are doing their duty. One such kabaddi player has recently received good news. Mahendra Rajput, who works for the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) of Maharashtra Police, has recently been promoted. Mahendra has informed his fans about this by posting on Instagram. Mahendra has been promoted from constable to police naik.
Mahendra has been serving in the Sixth Group of the State Reserve Police Force at Dhule in Maharashtra for the last ten years. Mahendra has been a part of the Pro Kabaddi League since the first season. After playing for Bengal Warriors for the first four seasons, he played for Gujarat in the fifth and sixth seasons. The fifth season played for Gujarat was the best for him. He scored 62 points in 17 games this season but missed the seventh due to an injury. Mahendra has done remarkably well for his team as a substitute from time to time. His 7-point raid against U Mumba in the sixth season was well-received.
“Now I am fully recovered from injury and ready to return to Pro Kabaddi. I have put on the reserve list by my department. Hence I am staying at home in lockdown and working hard on my fitness. Some teams in Pro Kabaddi have asked me to play for them for the upcoming season. Coach Manpreet Singh used my potential very well while playing for Gujarat. So I would definitely love to play for this team again.” said Mahendra while speaking with Khel Kabaddi.
He played for Maharashtra Police in the All India Police Tournament held in Haryana. Though Maharashtra Police lost in the quarter-finals, Mahendra caught everyone’s attention with his game. All eyes will be on which team will include Mahendra in their squad for the upcoming season of Pro Kabaddi.
