MD College Students Help CM Fund

The whole country is currently in a crisis of corona. The situation in Maharashtra is even more serious. Measures are being taken by the government to fight Corona at various levels. As a part of this, the government has appealed to the citizens to contribute to the Chief Minister’s Assistance Fund.

A group of current and former kabaddi players of MD College, Mumbai has played their part in the battle against Corona. On behalf of all these kabaddi players, a demand draft of Rs. 1,21,121 was handed over to Mumbai Mayor Sau. Kishori Pednekar. Parag Surve, Sandeep Kanekar and Apeksha Takle were present on behalf of these players at this moment.

Mr. Rajesh Padave, the coach of the college and the winner of Shiv Chatrapati Award, had appealed to all his current and former Kabaddi players to raise this fund. The players were prompt to respond as well. A total of 97 international, national and university level Kabaddi players raised their share of the fund.

These players include Vishal Manez Rishank Devadiga, Nitin More, Pankaj Mohite, Ajinkya Kapare from Pro Kabaddi League along with Suvarna Bartakke-Palav, District Sports Officer, Mumbai Suburbs and Meghali Korgaonkar-Mhaskar, an international kabaddi player. Similarly, Pramod Salunkhe, Sachin Kasare, Sagar Parab, Raksha Narkar, Milind Kolte, Santosh Khole, Pournima Jedhe, Sudhir Varkhade, Rekha Sawant, Jayshree Suvarna Satam, Rajshree Pawar, Pooja Yadav, Sanjay Sarvankar and other senior national kabaddi players also contributed towards this fund.
