Meraj Sheykh: The Mr. Dependable of Delhi’s Squad

Kabaddi, now being a global game has reached all over the world. Not only Indians but many foreign players also play Kabaddi, and fans across the globe watch the game.

Recently Iran team won two Gold medals at the Asian Games 2018 which is believed to be a revolution in Kabaddi. Talking about the performance of foreign players in Pro Kabaddi League Meraj Sheykh is one of the most consistent players of the league.

Iranian Meraj Sheykh has been one of the best all-rounders of PKL. Before playing for Dabang Delhi K.C. in last two seasons, Meraj was part of Telugu Titans in season 2 and 3. He is always at his best and especially when the team is in critical situations.

Meraj was not selected by any team in the first season’s auction of the league. Meraj scored 29 raid points and 9 tackle points in season 2. He was also the captain of Telugu Titans and was the first foreign player to captain a PKL franchise. In season 3 he claimed 27 raid points & 21 tackle points while playing from Telugu Titans.

Meraj was signed by Dabang Delhi K. C. in season 4. He played 14 matches and clinched 63 raid & 12 tackle points. Meraj was captain of the Delhi team in season 5. In 20 matches he got 96 raid & 8 points to his name. He was like the lone warrior of Delhi team. Meraj is one of the consistent players of Pro Kabaddi League with his frog jump in raiding.

Meraj Sheykh was part of the Iran Kabaddi Team that won Silver at 2014 Asian Games and 2016 Kabaddi World Cup. Meraj is one of the most dependable players of the league. Meraj Sheikh’s Dabang Delhi K.C. will play their first match against Gujarat Fortunegiants on 9th October 2018.
