In kabaddi the coaches create the right conditions for learning to happen and help the players to polish their skills.

In this article we will talk about the coaches of PRO KABADDI TEAMS for Season 8.

1. BC RAMESH (COACH, BENGAL WARRIORS)

 BC Ramesh had a wonderful journey as kabaddi player, he won gold medal twice with Indian National kabaddi team at Asian Games (1998 Asian games & 2002 Asian Games).

He was awarded by the prestigious “Arjuna Award” in the year 2001 for his contributions in the field of kabaddi.

He guided Argentina kabaddi team in the 2016 Kabaddi world cup.

Talking about his PKL coaching career, He guided Bengaluru Bulls to PKL 6 Title victory & Bengal Warriors to PKL 7 title victory.

He was also the part of coaching panel of Puneri Paltan in PKL 5.

2. MANPREET SINGH (COACH, GUJARAT GIANTS)

Manpreet Singh has won gold medal twice with Indian National kabaddi team at Asian Games (2002 Asian games & 2006 Asian Games).

He was awarded by the prestigious “Dhyanchand Award” in year 2020.

Manpreet Singh as a captain, led Patna Pirates to PKL 3 title victory.

Talking about his coaching career, He made his debut as coach in PKL in season 5 with Gujarat Giants. He successfully guided the team to the Finals in PKL 5 & PKL 6.

3. RAM MEHAR SINGH (COACH, PATNA PIRATES)

One of the most decorated kabaddi players of the Indian Kabaddi history, Ram Mehar Singh won gold medal twice with Indian National kabaddi team (1998 Asian games & 2002 Asian Games as a captain).

He was awarded by the prestigious “Arjuna Award” in the year 2002 for his contributions in the field of kabaddi.

He guided Indian national kabaddi team to bronze medal victory at 2018 Asian Games.

Talking about his PKL Coaching career, He is the most successful coach in PKL history.

Under his guidance, Patna made the hattrick of the title wins (PKL3, PKL4 & PKL5).

4. ANUP KUMAR (COACH, PUNERI PALTAN)

The former Indian Kabaddi team captain who led the Indian kabaddi team to Gold medal victory at 2016 Kabaddi World Cup.

He also won gold medal twice with Indian National kabaddi team at Asian Games (2010 Asian games & 2014 Asian Games).

He was awarded by the prestigious “Arjuna Award” in the year 2012 for his contributions in the field of kabaddi.

A.K.A “Bonus Ka Badshah” Anup Kumar also lead U MUMBA as a captain to the title victory in PKL 2.

Talking about his coaching career, He made his debut as coach in PKL in season 7 with Puneri Paltan.

5. RAKESH KUMAR (COACH, HARYANA STEELERS)

The former Indian kabaddi team captain & one of the most decorated players of Indian kabaddi history, Rakesh Kumar has won gold medal thrice with Indian National kabaddi team at Asian Games (2006 Asian games, 2007 Asian Games & 2014 Asian Games as a captain).

He was awarded by the prestigious “Arjuna Award” in the year 2011 for his contributions in the field of kabaddi.

Talking about his coaching career, He made his debut as coach in PKL in season 7 with Haryana Steelers.

6. J UDAYA KUMAR (COACH, TAMIL THALAIVAS)

Talking about his coaching career in Pro Kabaddi, He guided UP YODDHA in season 5 & Tamil Thalaivas in PKL 7.

Udaya Kumar has trained the Kerala players at senior national level also.
