Nitesh Kumar registered his name with golden words in PKL history
India’s second most popular Pro Kabaddi League season 6 is one day away from getting a new champion. Yesterday (3rd January) at PKL 6 Gujarat Fortunegiants crushed the UP Yoddha 38-31 to enter the final of PKL.
With the League witnesses, many records in each season UP Yoddha’s right corner Nitesh Kumar created history last night. He scored 6 tackle points against Gujarat Fortunegiants and became the first player to clinch 100 tackle points in a season. This was a golden day of PKL history.
Before PKL 6 highest tackle points record was to the name of Surender Nada who had scored 80 tackle points in last season. By scoring 94 tackle points Nitesh was already broken down Nada’s record and now he has set a new record of 100 tackle points in a single season.
In PKL 6 Nitesh Kumar has grabbed 100 tackle points from 25 matches with holding an average of 4 tackle points per match. He has 8 Super Tackles and ranks second in the list of Most Super Tackles. Nitesh is the man with most 8 High 5’s to his name.
Nitesh is the most tackle points scorer defender. He is the number one contender for ‘Best Defender of The Season’ award of PKL 6. It is because Nitesh tops the defender’s chart with the most 100 tackle points.
Behind him, there are Parvesh Bhainswal (84 Tackle Points), Fazel Atrachali (218 Tackle Points), Sunil Kumar (72 Tackle Points), and Sandeep Kumar Dhull (67 Tackle Points).
Though Parvesh Bhainswal and Sunil Kumar of Gujarat Fortunegiants has one more match left to play. But it is not practically possible to fulfill the huge distance between Nitesh’s points and Parvesh, Sunil’s points. But Nitesh with his ankle holds and dashes has set a new benchmark in the league.
