Nitesh Kumar to continue leading UP Yoddha

The Covid pandemic is not over yet. Since things are getting back to normal, many sports activities have already started. National and international tournaments are happening across the world.

Pro Kabaddi League which is India’s second most loved and viewed league is taking place from 22nd December. As a part of precautions, for the first time audience is not allowed to cheer their favourite team in the ground of Benagluru.

Since the league is less than 20 days away teams are practicing hard. Uttar Pradesh based franchise UP Yoddha has made announcement of choosing Nitesh Kumar as a captain.

Nitesh Kumar who is with the team since his debut season 5, will lead the team for second consecutive time. He has scored 222 tackle points in 67 PKL matches. Averages upto 3.05 tackle points per match he has 18 high 5s to his name.

With the addition of star raider Pardeep Narwal, UP Yoddha looks much more confident in raiding department. Shrikant Jadhav will be his partner in raiding. Nitesh as a right corner and Sumit as a left corner makes UP defense deadlier.

Under Nitesh’s captaincy UP Yoddha were able to reach the playoffs in season 7. This time his priority to improve team’s performance and clinch the title. All eyes are on UP Yoddha which will lock horns with defending champion Bengal Warriors on 22nd December.
