Nitin Tomar and Siddharth Desai’s heroics light up the show in Pro Kabaddi League

Pro Kabaddi League season 6 started with 2 great encounters last night. In the first match, host team Tamil Thalaivas won their first match at their home as they crushed Patna Pirates 42-26 in a one-sided match.

Whereas the second match between Puneri Paltan and U Mumba was totally a nail-biting encounter. Because it was anyone’s match until the last few minutes. But both teams ended up the match with a tie.

For the first time in the history of PKL, the great Maharashtrian Deby ended up in a tie. Nitin Tomar, Girish Ernak gave their best performances for Puneri Paltan. Whereas young Siddharth Desai was the star of the day for U Mumba. Mumba skipper Fazel Atrachali and defender Dharmaraj Cheralathan also performed well.

Best Raiding Performances:- 

1) Nitin Tomar, Puneri Paltan

After losing Deepak Hooda, Puneri Paltan showed trust on Nitin Tomar. One of the most expensive players of PKL history Nitin delivered a great show. He went for Super 10 by picking 15 points.

2) Siddharth Desai, U Mumba

Youngster Siddharth Desai scored his first Super 10 and that too in his debut PKL match. While making his dream debut Siddhart scored 15 raid points with the help of his raiding skills.

Best Defensive Performances:- 

1) Dharmaraj Cheralathan, U Mumba

With most Super Tackles to his name, Dharmaraj Cheralathan scored a High-5. He and Fazel played very well as a left-right combination.

2) Girish Ernak, Puneri Paltan 

Puneri Paltan skipper and left Corner Girish Ernak clinched 4 tackle points. He was successful with his dashes and ankle holds.

3) Fazel Atrachali, U Mumba

In his first match as a captain, Fazel led his team’s defense from the front. He got 4 tackle points. Cheralathan-Fazel’s left-right combination worked well for U Mumba.
