Not Pardeep, nor Rahul but this player is Anup Kumar’s favorite raider

Anup Kumar, former captain of U Mumba, Jaipur Pink Panthers in the Pro Kabaddi League and current coach of the Puneri Paltan, has revealed who his favorite raider in Pro Kabaddi is. Anup was speaking at the Instagram live session ‘Beyond the Mat’ hosted from the Instagram handle of the Pro Kabaddi League.

This time, a fan asked Anup, “Who is your favorite raider in Pro Kabaddi?”. Answering this question, Anup said,

“As long as I was playing, I was my own favorite raider. But apart from me, I will name Shabbir Bapu as the best raider. Due to injury, Shabbir could not shine in pro kabaddi. Shabbir had all the qualities that an ideal player should possess. Shabbir is very good as a player on and off the mat. But he could not prove himself due to injuries.”

Anup excelled as a raider in Pro Kabaddi. Under his leadership, U Mumba also won the second season of Pro Kabaddi. Anup retired from Kabaddi in 2018.
