Parbhani to witness District Kabaddi Championship
Due to Covid pandemic none of the sports associations were able to arrange tournaments. Since everything is coming back to normal, sports tournaments are also taking place. In coming few days Pro Kabaddi League, which is India’s second most viewed professional league will be taking place in Bengaluru.
Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) planning to organize Junior, Sub Junior and Senior level tournaments in the coming year. In order to select the team for these tournaments Maharashtra state is conducting trials which are district level tournaments.
For Sub Junior National Kabaddi tournament, district level Kabaddi championship are being held in Maharashtra’s all the districts. Players who perform good will get a chance to play regional level tournament here and then the team for Sub Junior National will be announced.
In order to secure their place in state team these tournaments are golden opportunity for the players. Selected players will get a chance to play for state team.
Parbhani District Kabaddi Association and Sai Krida Mandal are organizing district level sub junior championship. It will be held from 20th to 22nd December at Kabaddi Maharshi Buwa Salvi Kridanagari, Jayakwadi Vasahat, Pathari, District Parbhani.
Four soil grounds have been prepared for that. The entry fee for the tournament is INR 200. Sub junior boys, girls whose age is 16 years on 1st Jan 2001 or after and weighing 55kg are eligible for the tournament. All the players, coaches and team management are entitled to have ID card provided online by Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association.
