Patna Pirates qualify for the playoffs of PKL 8
Yesterday on the second day of week eight in Vivo Pro Kabaddi League eighth edition, three times champions Patna Pirates became the first team to qualify for the playoffs.
Patna defeated Puneri Paltan by a huge point’s margin of 17 points. The winning score of Pirates was 43-26. Patna has grabbed the first out of six playoffs spot with this win.
Sachin is team’s top raider in this season with 131 raid points in 18 matches. Skipper Prashanth Kumar Rai, Monu Goyat, Guman Singh & Monu are other raiders in the team.
Iranian Mohammadreza Chiyaneh is team’s top defender with 61 tackle points in 18 matches. Neeraj Kumar, Sajin C & Sunil are the other defenders in the squad.
Also, Patna is the only team to score more than 10 wins in this season so far. Patna has played 18 matches. They are the table toppers with 13 wins, 4 losses & 1 tie to their name.
They will play their next match against Bengaluru Bulls on 13th February. It will be interesting to see Pirates grab which spot & end the league stage of PKL 8.
