Pawan gets a new role at Bengaluru Bulls

Bengaluru Bulls is the Pro Kabaddi League franchise owned by WL League Private Limited. The team was runner up in season 2 and ended up as a champion in season 6. However they could not defend their title in the last season and took exit from semi-final.

For the upcoming eighth PKL season, Bengaluru Bulls has chosen star raider Pawan Kumar as their captain whereas left cover defender Mahender Singh will act as a vice captain. This duo will be looking forward to bring back the trophy.

‘Flying Pawan’ has 682 raid points to his name from 80 matches. He averages up to 8.52 raid points per match. Pawan has scored 31 super 10s. Like previous two seasons Bulls will be dependent on him for raiding.

Season 3 – 45 Raid Points – 13 Matches Played

Season 4 – 11 Raid Points – 10 Matches Played

Season 5 – 09 Raid Points – 09 Matches Played

Season 6 – 271 Raid Points – 24 Matches Played

Vice captain Mahender has clinched 181 tackle points in 67 matches played by him. He has 12 high 5s to his name and averages 2.47 tackle points per match. His main challenge will be to setup the defense.

Bengaluru Bulls coach Randhir Singh also shared Instagram post applauding both Pawan and Mahender for their selections. Pawan’s Bengaluru Bulls team will start their PKL journey by playing inaugural match versus U Mumba.
