PKL 12: Know Everything About Revamped Rules & Venue Changes

The Pro Kabaddi League, India’s second most popular sport league will start from 29th August 2025. The auction took place on 31st May & 1st June 2025 for PKL 12. After the auction, all the teams have included many new players in their squad. They are revised & shuffled now.

There are some changes made in the schedule of the PKL 12. The matches which were supposed to be played on October 11 & 12 in Chennai, have been relocated to Delhi. Apart from this the schedule remains unchanged.

On the inaugural day an epic clash of take place between home team Telugu Titans & Tamil Thalaivas. The playoffs schedule is yet to be announced.

The Changes Made In PKL 12 Rules:

1) All 12 teams will play 18 matches in group stage instead of 21 matches.

2) in case of ties, teams will engage in a structured 5-raid shootout with special rules as follows:

A: Both teams field 7 players with the baulk line treated as baulk line cum bonus line

B: Each team nominates 5 different raiders who raid alternately

C: Out and revival rules don’t apply – only points scored count

D: If still tied after 5 raids, the Golden Raid rule applies

E: No substitution is allowed during tie braker

3) The match winning team will get 2 points & losing team will get 0 point.

A: Teams finishing 5th to 8th will battle in Play-in matches, with the winners progressing to the Eliminators.

B: Teams finishing 3rd and 4th will face off in a Mini-Qualifier. The winner moves ahead, while the loser still gets another chance later in the Playoffs.

C: The top two league-stage teams (1st and 2nd) will meet in Qualifier 1, with the winner going directly to the Final. The losing team will have another shot at the Final via Qualifier 2.

D: The Playoffs journey will now flow through three Eliminators and two Qualifiers.
