PKL Season 6: Haryana Steelers beat U Mumba 35-31 in a thrilling encounter

Mumbai: The Haryana Steelers claimed their 4th win of their campaign with an exciting 35-31 win over U Mumba at the SVP Sports Complex in Mumbai. The game went right down to the wire, but the Dhaakad Boys held their nerves to etch out the win in the 12th match of their season.

The first half started off slowly but picked up as a series of raid points were exchanged along with some impressive tackles. After being down 9-2, it took a strong defensive display from the Haryana team that saw U Mumba’s star raider Siddharth Desai taken out 3 times and Haryana were well and truly back in the game levelling things up at 12-12. At the end of first half, U Mumba were leading by the narrowest of margins at 17-16.

Vikash Kandola impressed yet again, picking out 15 raid points and was ably supported by the other raiders, namely Naveen. The trio of Sunil, Parveen and Kuldeep Singh in defense also put on a commendable performance. The Steelers managed to hold on at the end of the game to narrowly win the game by 4 points.

The Steelers will look to continue with this good form as they take on the Tamil Thalaivas next on the 14th of November 2018, at Mumbai.
