PKL Season 6: Pardeep’s Heroics help Patna get on the winning track
Pardeep Narwal’s heroics helped the defending champions Patna Pirates to win their first match at Pro Kabaddi League Season 6.
UP Yoddha scored the first point of the match as they tackled Patna’s stalwart and captain Pardeep Narwal. After that UP Yoddha skipper Rishank Devadiga and star raider Prashant Kumar Rai got 2 points.
UP were leading 3-0 at that time. With Pardeep’s raiding and Jawahar’s defense Patna came back into the match. Patna was leading as 21-20 till first half got over.
UP defense was not looking in form due to the absence of Jeeva Kumar. Patna was successful in keeping skipper Rishank away from the match which made the difference. That is why UP was not able to take the lead. In the last raid of the match Shrikant went for the raid and the score was 42-41 in favour of UP. But Shrikant got tackled by Patna’s defense and hence Patna successfully won the match 43-41.
Shrikant Jadhav from UP Yoddha scored his first Super 10 of this season. Nitesh Kumar also showed his defensive skills and scored 4 tackle points. From Patna Pirates Pardeep Narwal, Deepak Narwal and Vikas Kale performed very well. Pardeep also scored Super 10.
