PKL Season 6: Patna Pirates register their second successive win over UP Yoddha
Last night, defending champions Patna Pirates defeated UP Yoddha after an early deficit. They put a spirited show which led them to the victory 43-37. Pardeep once again shined like a star and clinched a victory for his team. UP Yoddha has lost 2 matches against the defending champions.
Rishank Devadiga and Shrikant Jadhav started the proceedings for UP Yoddha. Both got raid points in the initial minutes of the match. UP was in 6-1 lead but Patna’s Vijay opened the door for his team to bounce back. From trailing by 1-6 to leading 19-17 Patna Pirates showed excellent team performance by inflicting an all-out on UP.
In the second half, Deepak Narwal went for Super Raid. Due to Shrikant Jadhav’s 4 pointer raid, UP Yoddha got the entire Patna Pirates out and leveled the score 24-24. But later on UP Yoddha’s defense failed in front of Pardeep Narwal.
As a result, Patna Pirates inflicted second all-out on the UP Yoddha and increased their lead to seven points at 35-28. Even Pardeep was tackled by UP defense but there was no one stopping Deepak Narwal. UP skipper Rishank Devadiga and Shrikant Jadhav scored raid points but Patna Pirates secured a 43-37 win.
Pardeep Narwal scored a Super 10 with 14 raid points. Deepak also got 10 raid points. In the defense, Vijay and Jaideep got 3 tackle points each. From UP Yoddha, Shrikant Jadhav cliched 17 raid points but was not enough for his team to win.
