Pro Kabaddi League ‘Panga’ begins in Bengaluru

Kabaddi’s new avatar ‘Pro Kabaddi League’ is back. Due to Covid pandemic the league was delayed by two years. Before the league takes place from today, a press conference was held live on Pro Kabaddi League official Facebook page and YouTube channel. League commissioner and all twelve team’s captains were present.

The final match of PKL season 8 will be played on 26 Februay 2022. The league duration is decreased from 90 days to 64 days because of triple header matches. This time Pro Kabaddi League has more power packed action to offer to the fans that cannot come to cheer them at the stadium.

League Commissioner Anupam Goswami said that, they have learnt lessons from all sports league who kept going face the global pandemic And just like them through Pro Kabaddi season 8 we look forward to set the example for sport in India. This time we will make use of technology and media right partners Star Sports to bring the fans engaged with the matches.

In captains interaction captains spoke about the team combinations and training. Tamil Thalaivas captain PO Surjeet Singh said that, “Our preparations are done. We are planning to win maximum number of matches”. PKL superstar and now Bengaluru Bulls captain said that, “We will not repeat the mistakes we did in the last season. Also we will try our best with this young team”.

Dabang Delhi K.C. skipper Joginder was very happy with the squad. Commenting out that he said, “Now we have many experienced players in the team. It will help the team in best way possible like Ajay Thakur will help Naveen Kumar. We will try to win the trophy”.  Gujarat Giants skipper thanked PKL for organization and preparations of the league. He said “We will try to convert our weaknesses into strengths”.

Talking about Pardeep Narwal’s impact on the team UP Yoddha skipper told that “The team looks balanced now. He is a very great raider. The team combination looks good now”. Jaipur Pink Panthers skipper Deepak Niwas Hooda said “Our team is more balanced now”. When asked about rival he told that all teams are equal. No specific rival.

Haryana Steelers captain Vikash Kandola mentioned about Surender Nada. He said “Nada’s experience will made defense strong. Also our NYP players are very talented. So we are looking forward to it”. Puneri Paltan captain Nitin Tomar looked happy that team has Rahul Chaudhari in it now. Also he said that the corner duo of Vishal and Baldev is strong.

U Mumba and only overseas captain PKL Fazel Atrachali told that, “Every season I get new player in team. There are also some experienced and young talented players. We have practiced well and we will play good”. Defending champions Bengal Warriors skipper made a comment that “We will definitely try to defend our title. Our young players are as good as the experienced players”.

Skipper Rohit Kumar looke excited about his new team. When asked about raiding combination with Bahubali Siddharth Desai Rohit replied that’ “The duo with Desai will be very good. I will try to up my performance this season”.

Three times champions Patna Pirates will play without Patna Pirates. Replying to the question of whether the team will miss Pardeep or not, skipper Prashanth Kumar Rai said “We will miss Pardeep. But will we filled the void which is created. New team is really good. We will play the final on 26th Feb”.
