Pune team Emerged As A Winner at 68th Senior Women’s State Kabaddi Championship

Parbhani District Kabaddi Association and Sai Krida Mandal organized Senior Women’s state Kabaddi Championship. It was held at Kabaddi Maharshi Buwa Salvi Kridanagari, Jayakwadi Vasahat, Pathari, District Parbhani.

Pune women’s team clinched the title there. It was their second consecutive Parvatibai Sandaw Trophy. In the nail biting final match, Pune team team defeated Mumbai City 46-29.

Mumbai team scored points in their first raid. The team inflicted all-out on Pune and lead the match 12-9. Half time score was 19-16 in favour of Mumbai city.

Pune team did not give up and started a comeback. Raider Snehal Shinde performed a super raid. Sayali Keripale dismissed two players. As a result team inflicted an all-out on Mumbai team and took lead 25-24.

Sayali Keripale’s one more super raid turned the match. She got four players out. The tables were turned there! Pune team lead by huge point’s margin. The score was 36-27.

Pune team then won the match by 17 point’s margin. Pournima Jedhe of Mumbai city was suffered from injury and it resulted as a huge blow to the team.

Sayali Keripale, Snehal Shinde, Ankita Jagtap and Pooja Shelar were the star performers from Pune team. They contributed in team’s victory. Pournima Jadhav, Pooja Yadav, Shraddha Kadam and Sadhana Vishwakarma played well for Mumbai.

This competition was important so as to get place in Maharashtra State Kabaddi Team which will fight in Senior National Kabaddi Tournament.
