Rajasthan government’s big decision – to give land to Kabaddi players

There is good news for Rajasthan resident athletes who have excelled in Olympic, Asian as well as international competitions. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has recently made an announcement regarding this. The Rajasthan government will provide 25 bhigas of land to 13 such players. It also includes three kabaddi players.

It has been decided to provide free land to the Olympic and Asian Games medalists and at a discounted rate to the players who represented the country in these competitions. These include Sumitra Sharma, who won a gold medal in Kabaddi at the 2014 Asian Games, Shalini Pathak, who won a silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games, and Rajulal Chaudhary, a bronze medalist.

The decision of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is being welcomed by the players. Many expressed the view that such decisions of the government would boost the sports sector in the state and increase the enthusiasm of the players to perform well in international competitions. A few days back, the Rajasthan government had also announced to give jobs to medal-winning players in international competitions.
