Records galore on the opening day of Pro Kabaddi League
Yesterday Pro Kabaddi League season 6 began with much fanfare. First match was held between host Tamil Thalaivas and defending champions Patna Pirates. Tamil Thalaivas beat the Patna Pirates 42-26. Whereas the second match between Puneri Paltan and U Mumba ended up with a tie.
In both the matches, we got to see Super 10’s. From Tamil Thalaivas, Ajay Thakur scored Super 10 and Patna’s skipper Pardeep Narwal also got a Super 10 to his name. U Mumba’s Siddharth Desai and Nitin Tomar of Puneri Paltan also scored Super 10.
These records were made on the opening day of PKL:-
1) For the first time in their 12 outings Pro Kabaddi League, the great Maharashtrian Derby ended up in a tie 32-32.
2) Siddharth Desai of U Mumba scored a Super 10 in his debut match.
3) Tamil Thalaivas captain Ajay Thakur become the first player to score Super 10 in 4 consecutive matches against Patna Pirates.
4) Manjeet Chhillar scored a High 5 by taking 5 points. He needs only 2 tackle points to score record 250 tackle points.
5) Tamil Thalaivas scored 700 points and become the 12th & last team to score 700 points.
6) Patna Pirates need only 10 raid points to score 1800 raid points. They have 1790 raid points to their name. Patna is now the team with most raid points.
