Rishank Devadiga to lead UP Yoddha in PKL Season 6

For the forthcoming season of Pro Kabaddi League Rishank Devadiga has been appointed as the captain of the UP Yoddha franchise. Rishank will represent UP Yoddha for second consecutive time.

Rishank Devadiga is a left raider of team UP Yoddha. Hailing from Maharashtra, Rishank was retained by the Yoddha for season 6. He was very impressive and got 165 raid points in 21 matches.

In that season he scored 28 raid points against Jaipur Pink Panthers which was the most by any raider. Later, the record for most points scored by a raider was first broken by Rohit Kumar with 32 raid points against UP Yoddha Pardeep Narwal with 34 raid points against Haryana Steelers.

Rishank got 490 points in 80 matches to his name. He was part of U Mumba before switching to UP Yoddha in last season. Rishank is one of the best players that Pro Kabaddi has ever produced.

Rishank is the second Maharashtrian player to lead PKL franchise. Before him, Nilesh Shinde was the only player from Maharashtra to captain the PKL team. He led the Bengal warriors in season 2, 3 and 4.

UP Yoddha was successful in reaching playoffs in last season which was also their debut season. Rishank Devadiga led-UP Yoddha will be up against Tamil Thalaivas on 8th October 2018. Uttar Pradesh leg will start from 2nd to 8th  November 2018.
