Shiv Shakti, Air India teams emerged as a champions

Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association recognized and Kolhapur District Kabaddi Association had organized State Level Men and Women Kabaddi Tournament at Rajarshi Shahu Stadium, Jaysingpur, Kolhapur.

Yesterday in Men section Air India won the title as they crushed Mahindra & Mahindra 38-27. Before this Mahindra & Mahindra beat Bharat Petroleum as 44-35 and Air India team defeated Mumbai Police 32-21 to make it to the finals.

In Women section, Shiv Shakti team thrashed Jai Hanuman Bachni 43-26 and won the championship. Shiv Shakti team defeated Mahalakshmi Kolhapur 36-18 and Jai Hanuman Bachni beat Aniket Khed 24-20 in the semifinals.

Sushant Sail won the award of Best Player. Air India team received a trophy & a cash reward of Rs. 1,11,000 and Runner up team Mahindra & Mahindra got a trophy & a cash reward of Rs. 51,000.

Prakash Hakkeri, Jayvantrao Aawle, Ganpatrao Patil, Dr. Nita Mane, Vitthalrao Naik Nimbalkar were present on the prize distribution ceremony.
