Sunil Kumar has a chance to enter this elite club

The Vivo Pro Kabaddi League is going to start from 22nd December in Bengaluru. The league could not take place last year due to covid pandemic. In the month of August the auction was hold for the upcoming eighth PKL edition.

Left cover defender Sunil Kumar is retained by Gujarat Giants. Under the captaincy of Sunil Kumar, Gujarat reached final in season 6. His leadership skills played huge role in building this team which consist youngsters. But in the very next season Gujarat could not make it to the playoffs and were eliminated from group stage.

Sunil Kumar has grabbed 179 tackle points in 68 games. His average is 2.45 points per match and has a total of 10 high 5s to his name. He requires 21 more tackle points to register 200 tackle points to his name. Though the numbers are not so impressive Sunil steps up in crucial moments.

His partnership with his teammate Parvesh Bhainswal has been significant in Gujarat’s defense. The due is considered as deadly while defense. It will be exciting to see in how many matches Sunil achieves this record and plays with the new defensive set up in PKL 8.
