We have also seen the upgradation of players through the tough competition that exists in Pro Kabaddi League. After a two-year gap due to the coronavirus pandemic, the upcoming season of the PKL is all set to begin from December 22. The New Young Players (NYP) draft was carried out on August 29, while the overseas and Category A players and Category A (domestic players) went under the hammer on August 30. The auction for the players in categories B, C, and D took place on August 31.

The stage is all set for the new comers to prove their name by their game in PKL 8.

1: RINKU SHARMA (32 LAKHS, U MUMBA)

The young right corner from Chandigarh, stole everyone’s attention when U Mumba signed him at a price of 32 lakhs in the auction.

Rinku Sharma (Age 20), is KHELO INDIA SCHOOL GAMES & KHELO INDIA UNIVERSITY GAMES GOLD MEDALIST and have also won the best defender award in ALL INDIA UNIVERSITY GAMES

2: MD. REZA SHADLOU (31 LAKHS, PATNA PIRATES)

The Iranian all-rounder became the highest sold overseas player of the PKL 8 player auction.

He is famous for his all-round skills which includes rock-solid ankle holds & lightening fast raids.

Shadlou represented Iran national kabaddi team in 2018 Kabaddi Masters Dubai (Silver Medalist) & won the gold medal in junior kabaddi world cup in 2019.

3: RATHAN K. (25 LAKHS, GUJARAT GIANTS)

The emerging raider from Karnataka was signed by Gujarat Giants at a price of 25 lakhs in the auction. Rathan has been impressive with his performances in Senior Nationals and was the top scorer for Karnataka with 36 raid points in just 2 matches in 68TH senior nationals.
