Tamil Thalaivas Clinch A Historical Win In The 5-5 Raids Tie Breaker To Reach The Semi Final

The Vivo Pro Kabaddi League Season nine is currently undergoing in Mumbai. Tonight in the eliminator 2, Tamil Thalaivas thrashed UP Yoddhas 36 (6) – 36 (4) in tie breaker & reached the semi-finals.

Tamil Thalaivas will play semi-final against Puneri Paltan on 15th December. It was for the first time in the league’s history where playoffs game was tie & winner was decided in a tie breaker.

Both Tamil Thalaivas & UP Yoddhas were giving tough fight to each other. Nothing could separate them. As a result the score was 18-9 in favour of Tamil at the end of the first half.

In the second half, Tamil inflicted first all-out on UP here. Tamil Thalaivas had a good lead of 4 points. But they lost it as UP Yoddhas inflicted an all-out at the very crucial moment of the game.

The score got equal there on. UP skipper Pardeep Narwal put a super raid & score was 36-33 in favour of UP. Tamil skipper Ajinkya Pawar caiught Ashu Singh in the raid. Narender tackled Pardeep.

It gave 2 points to Tamil. The score was 36-36 at the end of the 40 minutes of game. Then on the tie breaker was played. Both teams were given 5 raids each.

The rules were there such as- Baulk line become the baulk & bonus line, 5 raids per team, no revival as only point will be counted, 5 different raiders as per pre decided manner.

Tamil raider Himanshu went for the raid & got tackled by UP Yoddhas. Same way UP captain Pardeep was tackled by Tamil in his raid. In the next two raids both teams scored 1 point each.

The score was 2-2 after two raids each by both teams. Tamil’s Narender got bonus point & their defense caught UP raider Tamil. Tamil led 4-2 after three raids each.

In the fourth raid, Tamil skipper Ajinkya Pawar took bonus point to make it 5-2. UP got 1 point in the raid after which the score was 5-3 in favour of Tamil. Himanshu of Tamil scored bonus point.

Tamil’s raids were finished & they had almost sealed the game. To avoid multi point raid they, gave away 1 point to UP. The final score was 6-4 where Tamil had won the game.

UP defense gave away bonus points which costed them the match. Whereas Tamil Thalaivas smart game made them win the match in tie breaker.

Tamil raider Narender scored a super 10 with 12 raid points. He took 1 tackle point also. Skipper Ajinkya Pawar picked up a 1 tackle & 9 raid points. Sahil Gulia scored 3 tackle points.

UP skipper Pardeep Narwal picked up a super 10 with 12 raid points. Surender Gill took 8 raid points. He crossed 400 raid points in his career. Sumit earned a high 5 with 5 tackle points.
