The Amateur Kabaddi Federation Of India (AKFI) Does A Major Change

Kabaddi, an indigenous game was referred to as a village sport is now reaching all over the world. Pro Kabaddi League which was started in 2014 gave a new life to the sport and as a result, it has become hugely popular.

Lately many district, national, international level tournaments are being commenced. The Kabaddi season is ongoing with full swing. Soon Federation Cup will be held.

The Amateur Kabaddi Federation Of India (AKFI) has made an announcement regarding the squad size in the game. The decision was made in a meeting held by AKFI officials.

According to AKFI rules, junior boys players should weigh 70 kg in all the AKFI organized tournaments. But in a historic move the weight has been increased from 70 to 75 kg.

This rule will be applicable for all national level tournaments. Such huge move is welcomed by the boys players since they will get chance to play at national level making their team stronger.
