Mumbai, 1st August 2019: Showcasing passion and intensity for the sport, KBD Juniors Season 3 city finals in Mumbai saw the toughest team – The Andhra Education School emerge victorious 23 – 20 against IES Modern School.  Shivam Yadav was the Top Raider with 11 Raid points and Om Bandre was the Top Defender with 4 Tackle points.

The young guns of Kabaddi entertained the crowd with their impressive skills and fighting spirit. In a brilliantly orchestrated game, the students from The Andhra Education School demonstrated skill and strength on the mat showcasing the toughness of the sport which led them to a 3 – point victory. Prior to the city finals, the two semi-final matches witnessed IES Modern School prove their mettle against NKES and The Andhra Education Society winning against Fr. Agnel School.

U Mumba’s star all-rounder and Mumbaikar, Ajinkya Rohidas Kapre was present at Dome, NSCI, SVP Stadium, Mumbai to cheer the young kabaddi players of Mumbai. He handed over the trophy to the winning team and applauded each teams’ performance. He said, “It’s a great feeling to be a part of KBD Juniors Season 3 that encourages young talent and builds the future of kabaddi. All the teams have played really well and my heartiest congratulations to the winning team. KBD Junior is a great initiative by PKL and I’m glad to see the young talent available in my home city.’’

The schools in fray for the coveted title of Mumbai city champions included Fr. Agnel School, Datta Meghe World Academy, The Universal School, The Andhra Education Soc, IES Modern School, Pawar Public School, NKES and Poddar Brio School.
