Things you need to know about Puneri Paltan skipper Girish Ernak

Girish has been associated with Pro Kabaddi League since its inaugural season in 2014. Girish Ernak began his Pro Kabaddi career with Patna Pirates in Season 1 and has steadily made his mark in the league ever since. He came into his own in Season 5 with Puneri Paltan establishing his credentials as a solid left corner defender.

For the PKL season 6, Girish Ernak was retained by the team, thanks to his impressive performance in the last season. He led Puneri Paltan’s defense in Season 5 with 64 Tackle Points. He claimed (5) High 5’s in Season 5, the second highest tally in that campaign.

Before playing for Puneri Paltan, Girish was part of Patna Pirates in season 1 & 2. He scored 23 tackle points from 12 matches in the first season. In his second season with Patna Pirates, he managed to core 27 defense points from 13 matches. Girish switched to Bengal Warriors in season 3 where he scored 33 tackle points from 11 matches. Once again he represented Bengal Warriors in season 4 and clinched 25 tackle points from 12 matches.

Girish carried his sublime form at the national level where he was part of India’s 2018 Kabaddi Masters Dubai winning team. Girish was also a part of the Maharashtra team which won the 65th Senior Nationals (2017-2018) and came third in the 3rd Federation Cup (2018). He is successful with his ankle holds and dashes.

Girish will captain the Puneri Paltan in the upcoming season of Pro Kabaddi League. His Puneri Paltan will take on U Mumba on 7th October 2018 in Maharashtra Derby.
