This Is How PKL 9 Auction Will Be Conducted

India’s second most popular league Vivo Pro Kabaddi League was back in December 2021. After two years of gap due to Covid pandemic, the league took place.

132 league matches & 5 matches i.e. a total of 137 matches were played in this season. Dabang Delhi K.C. won their maiden title on 25th February 2022.

Many players from India & other countries like Iran, Sri Lanka, Japan, South Korea showcase their talent every season.

With this season 9 auction is all set to happen on 5th & 6th August 2022. All the PKL franchisees can retain upto 6 players only from all three categories i.e A, B, C.

Also, this season total purse prize has been increased to 5 Crores than that of 4.4 Crores in PKL 8.

The auction will be broadcast live on 5th August 2022 onwards on the Star Sports Network & Disney+ Hotstar at 7 to 8.30 pm.

Category B auction will be done on 5th August 2022 at 9 to 10 pm. Category C & D auction will happen on 6th August at 11 am.

Only A category player’s auction will be telecasted live on the Star Sports & Hotstar.

All the teams can use 2 FBM card (Final Bid Match).

Rules are as per follows:

1) If the team has retained 6 players from Elite Retained Players category then they can’t use FBM card.

2) If the team has retained 5 players from Elite Retained Players category then they can use 1 FBM card.

3) If the team has retained 4 players from Elite Retained Players category then they can’t use 2 FBM cards.
