This is how the playoffs of the 66th Senior Kabaddi Championship will be played
Today at 66th Senior Group State Men’s and Women’s Championships playoff matches will be played. The tournament is being held in Sinnar, Nashik. On the first two days of the championships, league stage matches were held.
Yesterday in Women’s category, Mumbai Suburb delivered a great performance and clinched 53-21 victory over Ahmednagar. Komal Jadhav’s raids and Rani Upahar and Sayali Jadhav’s defense helped Mumbai Suburb to book their place in the semifinals. Pune washed out Satara 62-22 and qualified for the semis. Sayali Keripale and Dipika Joshap gave top performances.
Ratnagiri and Kolhapur won their matches and qualified for the Quarter Finals. Thane, Raigad, Satara, Mumbai City, Sindhudurg, Nashik, Palghar, Ahmednagar also booked their slots in the Pre-Quarter Finals.
In Men’s category, Dhule registered a 26-21 win over Palghar to make to the Pre-Quarter Finals. Ahmednagar defeated Jalgaon by 1 point and qualified for the playoffs. Pune, Raigad, Sangali, Kolhapur won all their matches in the group stage and made into the Quarter-Finals.
Mumbai City managed to win four matches and went into the playoffs. Ajinkya Kapare, Sushant Sail, and Omkar Jadhav were outstanding for Mumbai City. Mumbai Suburb suffered a shocking loss from hosts Nashik.
